I’ve noticed all discussions here are about the positive- your favourite this and best that. It’s time to discuss the negative!
Are there any songs, albums or bands you can’t stand? You’re sure they’re super overrated and should be banned from the radio? You just hate them?
I’m sure we’ll have a lot to discuss here… Let’s just make sure to keep it clean and let everyone express opinions fairly.
I honestly can’t get into heavy metal – no Megadeth, Slayer or (you will probably hate me) Metallica. I just can’t do it, sorry. And although I used to find Eminem amusing for his first two songs back in the 90s, I absolutely loathe him now. He’s become a parody of himself and it’s kind of sad. I cringe every time I hear him on the radio. I also can’t stand that Canadian band Hedley and other bands with singers who have whiny voices. If I wanted to hear whining I’d listen to my own voice!
Nickelback. He sounds like he’s constipated.
I dislike almost all country music.
Come to think of it…most music on the radio is unbearable – cookie cutter and predictable. I only listen to classical music on the radio since even when it’s bad, it is pleasantly bad.
I hate all rap music, and can’t stand all dance music!

I’ll agree with you on the Eminem comment. I’ve always disliked rap to be honest, although I’ll admit there are good rap songs out there and his early works weren’t too awful.
I’ll disagree with the whiny voice singers… maybe it’s because my own voice is low and not very whiny, but some songs work with that singing style.
And I completely disagree with the heavy metal comment… though I’m not a huge Metallica fan myself actually. But early metal (Zepellin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath) was good. I also really like those crazy Swedish heavy metal bands that cover classic songs in a new style, it’s often refreshing though not always great.
