Has anybody here actually tried synchronizing the Dark Side of the Moon with the Wizard of Oz? Does that work?

I was never sure how it’s supposed to work… do you turn the music on at the beginning, or when she gets to Oz? And what do you do when the album ends, do you play it again from the beginning?

I don’t know who started this practice, probably nobody does really… but combining a great movie with a great album is a great idea, isn’t it?

I wonder whether you can do this with other stuff… any suggestions? Singing in the Rain with Beggar’s Banquet? My Fair Lady with Abbey Road? Sound of Music with Ziggy Stardust?

Wow! What a cool idea! Sounds like something that started with recreational drug use, or at least a good imagination! Yellow Submarine comes to mind…but that was an intentional mash-up. And Harold and Maude is all Cat Stevens. I would like to hear what songs people would have if there was a movie of their own life. Do you ever think about that?

That’s a good question actually, your own life soundtrack. Yeah, I do think about it. Sometimes, I just a song that seems appropriate to the situation (which always makes the people around think I’ve gone insane).

I’ve yet to find an album that really reflects me that well. But if you made an “oLahav- The Movie”, the opening credits would have to scroll by with my favourite song #7, and the closing credits would feature my favourite song #1, with the other top 10 intermingled throughout my life.

Want to know what these songs are? Sorry, but you’ll have to wait to oLahav’s Top 100 Songs ever List Part X. Can you stand the suspense?

So what’s your life soundtrack like?
