This is Part I of oLahav's Top 100 Songs List: songs 100-91

Welcome to my list!

This is the first part of my very own 100 favorite songs list. This is by no means a conclusive or significant list, so feel free to make your own competitive list. But just because I'd like to share my musical taste, I'm putting this right up on LearnHub. Cool!

The list itself will contain exactly 100 songs, and you can expect to find a nice mix of bands and eras (but not of genres, I'm a pure rocker). The list goes in no particular order aside of the top 10, which are the top 10 in order. We'll start from song 100 and work our way up. Your welcome to post suggestions and agreements/disagreements with my choices.

Now that we've done that, let's start!

Song 100: Immigrant Song, by Led Zeppelin. This is an awesome rock song I thought would be great to start our list with. You can hear it right here. This particular song is not only great for any immigrants (like me) and for people in cold countries, like Canada (which I'm from), the trademark screaming at the beginning is truly one of Plant's best works.

Song 99: I am the Walrus, by the Beatles. Everybody knows this one. It's a top-notch Lennon masterpiece with words that make no sense because by the time this song was out, the Beatles didn't have to make sense. They were just cool. Here it is for you to hear.

Song 98: Miss you, by the Rolling Stones. It seems like I'm starting off with the most well-known songs at my disposal, isn't it? This is an incredibly catchy tune you'll find yourself humming for a week if you don't watch out. Right here.

Song 97: Take Me Out- Franz Ferdinand. I thought it's about time for more modern stuff. Rock is still alive even though it's hard to believe, and this is proof. You can treat it as 2 songs really, because the beginning and the second part having nothing to do with each other, but they're both incredible. Check out the really creative video here.

Song 96: Fashion- David Bowie. People who know me probably wonder why this isn't just a 100 song list of just David Bowie, I'm a huge fan. This is one of his biggest songs, in my opinion, just because he's poking fun at fashion, which he was a huge part of at one time. Bowie is king. Song 95: It's the End of the World as we Know It (and I Feel Fine) by R.E.M. That's a long title for a song, isn't it? This is a really fast-paced masterpiece where the words don't matter as long as the chorus is powerful enough. Rock at its best. It's here for you to enjoy.

Song 94: Learning to Fly, from Pink Floyd. Everybody knows Pink Floyd was great with Roger Waters, but even after he left Gilmour and Co. provided some exceptional music. This is one example of a song with powerful lyrics and a great progressive tune, and here it is.

Song 93: Scar Tissue, the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Probably the greatest active rock band in the world, RHCP's Californication album provides with nothing but incredible songs. Scar Tissue is the beginning of their phase 2, with John back and everything's working out great. It's no wonder Anthony picked this as the title of his biography. Here is the clip.

Song 92: You Don't Believe by the Alan Parsons Project. Finally, a slightly more obscure choice. The APP was a great progressive rock band led by a genius that's behind such things as the Dark Side of the Moon. This is just one of their many marvelous songs, and there'll be more of these up the list. There's a sample of this song here.

Song 91: Discotheque, U2. Last song for the day, I'm taking a song from U2's most underrated album, Pop, which in my opinion contains some of their best work. Discotheque has one of the Edge's most catchy riffs ever, and the video is probably the most amusing of all U2 videos. Catch a glimpse here to see what I'm walking about.
